About This Kool Project

In Collision Repair at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Massachussetes we have been working on a 1963 mercury comet. When we first got the vehicle it was in very bad condition as expected because it is a very old anitique car. However we have really done a great job on brining it back to life. When we first started we took the whole vehicle apart and started from the very beginning with just the frame and wheels of the vehicle. The floor was so badly rotted that we had to replace the whole floor. We have also made some tweaks with the body of the vehicle and have made the rear wheel wells bigger to give the vehicle a more appealing look. The axle is something we have had to take our time with to make sure the measurements are right and so that it fits in the the comet. It was hard figuring out how to find an axle that fits the vehicle because they don't make them any more how they used to because it is such an old vehicle.
