1962 Porsche 356S-B Cabriolet
This car came to us with the most need for repairs. MAAP was not the company that restored the car originally, so there were numerous mechanisms across the car that were installed incorrectly or missing entirely. To begin with, the engine was having trouble idling and creating power, so special attention was payed to the fuel system. On the other end, the brakes produced a grinding noise upon use and caused the car to shudder when coming to a stop. Additionally, the suspension on the front end of the car had seen its fair share of use and exposure to the elements, and was in need of all new rubber bushings. Every system was assessed for further damage and dealt with accordingly to work out some of the kinks. Stay tuned to find out more about the problems identified with the powertrain, suspension and brakes! Also coming soon: better pictures of this beautiful piece of history.
