Freedom High School Automotive Welding
Freedom High School Automotive has been educating students in automotive, collision repair, and restoration since 1972! FHS has been a leader in automotive education in Wisconsin and the midwest and has been recognized nation wide! Despite programs success, funding is always a challenge! Recently the program was in great need of new and additional welders. FHS has always had a great relationship with Miller and with additional funding from the RPM foundation were able to purchase 5 new welders! These new Miller welders not only bring with them new technology and superior welding, but different processes for FHS students. This RPM grant in partnership with Miller allowed FHS Auto to purchase 3 211 welders and 2 215. All of these welders are multi-process making them a versatile option great for the educational setting! The purchase of 3 Miller 211's allow for primarily MIG welding which covers the majority of students tasks. These welders also came equipped with aluminum spool guns which are used for a variety of different projects as well. In addition, the 215 welders operate primarily as TIG welders to meet fabrication needs! These welders have allowed FHS students to take their repairs and fabrication procedures to the next level adding new techniques and processes to their educational experience!
